What’s a day in the life of someone in HR?
A typical day involves many spreadsheets, as you might imagine, but ultimately my days are pretty varied as I am working on a variety of projects. I usually get into the office around 8 AM and check my email and respond to anything that is important. I might have some meetings to discuss a policy or practice that we are implementing or developing or a team touch base to learn what other people are working on. When I’m at my desk working I am typically looking into our employee data, researching industry trends and practices, writing up SOPs and more.
What do you love about your job?
I love the fast paced environment that I work in and that we are detail oriented and consider the big picture. I enjoy being part of creating a great company. Since we are still new, I get great exposure to elements of the business that I might not otherwise.
